2/8/15

After a week long absence, Pablo Diablo's Five Round Review is back!  Last week was a bad week to take off with everything happening in regards to failed drug tests between Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz. Either way, it is time to recap what went down this past week in the world of MMA.

At RFA 23 Featherweight Raoni Barcelos rebounded from a loss by knocking out Jamal Parks at 2:31 of round 1. Middleweight Gabriel Checco looked impressive with a TKO win over Joseph Henle at just 1:14 of round 1. The main event, a Bantamweight contender match, was an instant classic as Terrion Ware out pointed Joe Murphy to win via unanimous decision.

UFC 184 now has a set lineup with the finalization of a match-up between Women Bantamweight fighters Holly Holm and Raquel Pennington. The bout, which was scheduled for an earlier event but scratched because of an injury suffered by Holm, will serve as the co-main event. Holm is seen by many as a fighter who can compete with champion Ronda Rousey.

Former UFC fighter Pat "BamBam" Healy and Kurt Kinser will fight for the Lightweight title at Titan Fighting Championship 33. The event already had three title fights on the card; the addition of this fight brings it up to four.

Bellator Lightweight champion Will Brooks will defend his belt against Dave Jansen at Bellator 136.
